A boutique childcare provider sought the assistance of 4d in conceiving a design for a 90 place centre located within a dense urban environment at Rose Bay in the east of Sydney.

Vehicular parking was set beneath the main two storey facility utilising a 3m fall from the street toward the rear of the site. The plan was then devised to orient play areas away from adjacent private spaces while achieving acoustic buffering & natural lighting for the interior.

The streetscape design successfully adopted the pattern of existing development while articulating the materiality & form of the facade to mitigate perceived scale & mass.
