A new childcare centre located in an emerging urban centre. This 2-storey development incorporates capacity for 140 children with associated courtyards & outdoor playscapes. The existing level differences on the sloping site are used to create a layout that allows for transitioning of children through the various parts of the centre as they age & develop.

Younger children are located in the more protected lower ground level while older children are afforded a more open & expansive environment on grade with the primary external natural playscape. The form incorporates the use of on-grid steel structures for speed of construction while maximising natural light penetration through the volumes.
